A Slow Weekend at Anchorpoint
Share
Not every market is bustling, but every one leaves something behind.
This past weekend, I set up a not so small booth at Anchor Point.
The table was filled with familiar pieces. Soft florals, tiny blooms, and the quiet details I have come to love shaping over time. There is always something grounding about setting up a space like this. Laying everything out, adjusting each piece, and waiting for the day to unfold.
This time, the market was a little slower than expected.
There were moments of stillness.
Long pauses between conversations.
Time that felt like it stretched a little more than usual.
But in that quiet, something else happened.
People stopped by, not in a rush, but with curiosity.
Some lingered a little longer.
Some asked questions.
Some shared small stories of their own.
And somewhere in between, connections were made. Applying what I've learnt over the past three months of digital marketing, I've also encouraged and helped another fellow vendor to build her profile and business. That to me was a little bonus.
Not loud, not overwhelming,
but real.
Moments like these remind me that markets are not just about numbers or sales.
They are about presence.
About showing up, even when the pace is slower.
About meeting people, one conversation at a time.
About allowing the brand to be experienced, not just seen.
There is something humbling about that.
What a Slow Market Teaches
A slower market has its own quiet lessons.
- Not every day needs to be fast to be meaningful
- Conversations often matter more than transactions
- Building something takes time, patience, and presence
It is easy to measure success in numbers.
But sometimes, it shows up in smaller, softer ways.
If you stopped by over the weekend, thank you for being part of it.
And if you missed it, you can still explore the pieces here:
