A Farewell Gift, Framed with Love

A Farewell Gift, Framed with Love

Some gifts are beautiful because of how they look.

Others become unforgettable because of the story they carry.

This custom HBC Keepsake Frame was created as a farewell gift for a dear friend who was leaving Singapore to begin a new chapter overseas. While the destination may change, the memories built over the years deserve to stay close to the heart.

Rather than recreating every facial feature, I focus on the little details that make each person instantly recognisable—their hairstyle, outfit, accessories, even their two beloved cats waiting faithfully beside them.

One special detail sits quietly in the top right corner.

A handcrafted Vanda Miss Joaquim orchid, Singapore's national flower.

More than just decoration, the orchid represents the place they once called home. It serves as a small reminder of Singapore and the memories they made here together. Long after they've settled into their new home, this little bloom will continue to tell that part of their story.

One of my favourite things about creating Keepsake Frames is that no two commissions are ever alike. Some customers choose family portraits. Others celebrate beloved pets, favourite books, meaningful quotes, hobbies or milestones. Every frame begins with a conversation, and every design is thoughtfully crafted around the story that matters most.

This farewell gift reminded me that memories aren't tied to places, they travel with the people we love.

If a small handcrafted keepsake can bring someone comfort, spark a smile or remind them of home, then I've done exactly what Haeng Bok Clay was created to do.

Because every story deserves a place to bloom.

Thinking of creating your own Keepsake Frame?

Whether you're celebrating a family, honouring a friendship, remembering a beloved pet or marking a meaningful milestone, I'd love to help bring your story to life.

Each HBC Keepsake Frame is handcrafted from polymer clay and thoughtfully designed in my signature simplified style.

As every piece is made to order, please allow approximately 2 weeks for production.

If you have a story you'd like to preserve, I'd love to hear it.
