A Book-Inspired Custom Order
I recently completed a custom order inspired by books, florals, and little keepsake details.
The request was to create a series of book-themed pieces, each with its own character. Some designs featured stacked books, while others focused on a single book with floral details. There was also a bookshelf-inspired pair, designed to look like a tiny shelf filled with books and blooms.
For this order, I worked with a warm brown frame, soft book cover colours, and floral accents that matched the overall look. The aim was to keep the pieces detailed but still wearable, so they would not feel too heavy or overwhelming.
One of the key details was incorporating Haeng Bok Clay’s signature floral style into the designs. Instead of making the flowers feel separate from the books, I wanted them to look like they belonged naturally within the piece.
There were a few different designs in this custom order:
Tiny Bookshelf Earrings
The bookshelf pair included small books, floral details, and a red rose placed within the shelf. The brown frame gave the piece a cosy, vintage feel, while the florals added a softer Haeng Bok Clay touch.

Stacked Book Earrings
Another pair featured books stacked together, with florals cascading down from the books. This design gave the piece more movement and made it feel a little more whimsical.

Single Book Floral Pieces
The last designs focused on a single book with floral details. These were kept simpler, making them suitable for different formats such as earrings, magnets, or small keepsakes.

What I enjoyed most about this order was the mix of storytelling and detail. Book-inspired pieces are fun to create because they allow for many small design choices, from the book colours to the floral placement.
Each piece was handmade slowly and carefully, with slight variations that make every item unique.
If you have a meaningful theme, favourite book, colour palette, or special idea you would like to turn into a handmade keepsake, custom orders are welcome.
